Digital work and Organization design
Abstract
Digital technologies and virtual work are reshaping how work is coordinated, monitored, and exchanged—both inside firms (e.g., internal platforms) and in market-based settings (e.g., online labor markets). Building on recent research and evidence, this lecture covers selected topics and links micro-level frictions (e.g., information, incentives, identity) to broader organization-design choices in digital work systems.
